Operations/Logistics Coordinator: Supporting Gulf of Mexico Platforms/Vessels- Offshore and Land Operations

Reports to: Director of Human Resources

Supervisory Responsibility: None

Summary of Role

The Operations Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing field service activities. This role also ensures that all work aligns with customer specifications, contractual agreements and quality standards while driving continuous improvement in service delivery for multiple locations simultaneously.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Schedules available resources for pick-up, delivery, or assignment; selects safest and most efficient means of delivery of goods, services, and personnel. Utilizes travel portals and methods to reserve/purchase flights for international and domestic travel.
  • Serves as primary point of contact for customers regarding service scheduling, status updates, and issue resolution
  • Provides oversight of equipment availability; assignment of drivers, trucks, and extra drivers when needed.
  • Ability to adjust schedules and priorities in response to urgent service requests for unforeseen challenges
  • Consolidates orders for groceries for specific destinations.
  • Anticipates any complications and current staffing. Available to dispatch personnel during and after storms while coordinating routes of drivers’ destinations; communicates delays and route changes as necessary to clients and staff.
  • Maintains contact with drivers; receives and dispatches response and emergency aid when needed.
  • Maintains and reviews orders, billing, and inventory of staff, groceries, and compliance violations.
  • Assists with travel for foreign labor as needed
  • Monitors drivers’ hours to ensure the safe operation of company vehicles and passengers.
  • Addresses customer concerns, ensuring prompt and professional responses to correspondence as soon as possible/practical to prevent service interruptions
  • Maintains employee data and schedules in electronic scheduling information system, Fieldpoint
  • Coordinate with Sales and other internal teams as needed to deliver excellent customer service
  • Provide updates on all open jobs to operations management
  • Provide after-hours support for urgent customer needs, including responding to phone calls and emails outside of normal working hours, which may include weekends and holidays
  • Supports continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service operations and resource utilization
  • Support appropriate departments with renewing expiring training certificates or expiring physicals to keep employees compliant
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Thorough understanding of offshore catering industry.

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree preferred.
  • At least three years of related experience and execution of similar duties in within scheduling, planning logistics, or freight operations are required.
