This week, Taylors Business Development Team is in Dukar, Senegal attending the 3-day MSGBC Basin Summit & Exhibition.

Now in its 4th year, the Summit is the only event entirely dedicated to exploring oil and gas opportunities in Mauritania, Senegal, The Gambia, Guinea Bissau and Guinea Conakry. Recognized as the meeting place to get the latest updates on ongoing and upcoming projects, and hear directly from local governments on future plans, the Summit provides the opportunity to:

  • Sharpen business strategy and knowledge of the Basin’s fast-growing industry
  • Meet with ministries, regulators, NOCs and government bodies from the five MSGBC countries, all under one roof
  • Expand and solidify networks, meeting with both local and international players
  • Elevate Taylors’ company profile in one of Africa’s most exciting E&P hotspots

The MSGBC Local Content Forum is officially supported by local Senegalese regulating body, COS-PETROGAZ and is entirely focused on developing strategies for local content and building in-region capacity within the MSGBC Basin. Along with increasing the visibility of in-region suppliers and service providers, the Forum encourages speakers and attendees to deliberate the most sustainable and efficient way for the region’s oil and gas industry to move forward.

The MSGBC Basin is named after the acronym of the countries in which the basin (or more accurately a collection of mini sub-basins) resides, namely Mauritania, Senegal, Gambia, Guinea-Bissau and Guinea-Conakry.
